Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav on Wednesday said that the academic performance of government schools in the state has shown significant improvement, with enrolment levels rising and student drop-out rates dropping to zero, crediting teachers for their “incomparable contribution” to nation-building.
Addressing the State-level Educational Quality Teachers’ Conference organised by the Madhya Pradesh Teachers’ Association at Government Subhash Excellent School, Bhopal, the Chief Minister said that while eras may change, respect for teachers has remained constant.
“Teachers are like lamps that illuminate others’ lives by burning themselves. They have always been respected and will continue to be so,” Dr Yadav said, congratulating teachers for achieving historically improved examination results in government schools.
200 New Sandipani Schools to Open This Session
Highlighting education reforms, the Chief Minister said Sandipani Schools and PM SHRI Schools are setting new benchmarks in quality education. Impressed by the success of Sandipani Schools, the state government has decided to open 200 new Sandipani Schools from the current academic session.
Dr Yadav also said Madhya Pradesh was among the first states in the country to implement the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, adding that the state is rapidly advancing towards AI, coding and skill-based education for future generations.
He assured teachers that the government has taken consistent decisions in their interest and that remaining benefits would also be extended soon.
