Fuel prices remained elevated across India on Thursday, with major cities and states continuing to witness high petrol and diesel rates amid persistent volatility in global crude oil markets.
Among key cities, Hyderabad recorded one of the highest petrol prices at ₹107.5 per litre, while diesel prices stood at ₹95.7 per litre. Kolkata saw petrol prices at ₹105.41 and diesel at ₹92.02 per litre.

At the state level, Andhra Pradesh recorded some of the highest fuel prices in the country, with petrol at ₹109.04 and diesel at ₹96.92 per litre. Kerala also reported elevated diesel prices at ₹95.39 per litre.
Other high-price states included:

- and Himachal Pradesh.
Fuel prices continue to differ significantly across India due to variations in state VAT rates, transportation costs, and local levies. Analysts said prices are likely to remain volatile in the near term as geopolitical tensions and fluctuations in international crude oil markets continue to impact global energy supply dynamics.
