On the auspicious occasion of Makar Sankranti, Udaipur-based internationally acclaimed gold craftsman and 121-time world record holder Prof. Dr. Iqbal Sakka has once again brought global recognition to India by achieving an unprecedented feat.
Dr. Sakka created history by setting 75 world records in just 75 hours, a milestone achieved for the first time anywhere in the world. This extraordinary accomplishment has been officially recorded in the Hindustan Book of World Records.
As part of this historic feat, Dr. Sakka crafted 75 ultra-microscopic kites made of gold, each resembling tiny gold dust particles. These kites are so minuscule that they are nearly invisible to the naked eye. When viewed through a special lens, all traditional kite components—thadda, kabani, dhanush, phooda, and other intricate details—are clearly visible, giving the impression of the world’s smallest collection of 75 kites.
75 Hours, 75 Kites, 75 World Records
Demonstrating exceptional endurance and mastery in micro gold craftsmanship, Dr. Sakka worked continuously for 75 hours to create 75 distinct golden kites, with each kite registered as a separate world record. Through this rare achievement, he not only reaffirmed his artistic excellence but also showcased India’s rich tradition of fine craftsmanship on a global platform.
