On the eve of India’s 79th Independence Day, the Department of Social Justice & Empowerment hosted 200 Special Guests, comprising,100 top-performing students under the SHREYAS and SHRESHTA Schemes and 100 outstanding Self Help Groups (SHGs) under the VISVAS Scheme. These Special Guests have been invited to witness the Independence Day Ceremony 2025 at the Red Fort, New Delhi, on 15th August.
As part of this initiative, the Department organized an Interaction Programme on 14th August 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Minister of Social Justice & Empowerment, Dr. Virendra Kumar. Shri Amit Yadav, Secretary, SJE, were also present on the occasion along with other senior officials of the Department.
During the interactive session, these Special Guests shared their inspiring journeys of personal transformation made possible through the Department’s various schemes.
They also offered valuable suggestions and constructive feedback for improving the implementation and outreach of the schemes. The Hon’ble Minister appreciated their insights and assured the participants that their inputs would be duly considered to enhance the reach, efficiency, and impact of the Department’s initiatives.
