September 3, 2026: The cryptocurrency market showed signs of recovery in early trading, with Bitcoin rising to $77,691, up 0.52%, while several major altcoins, including Ethereum, XRP and Cardano, also traded in positive territory.
Bitcoin gained $404 from its previous level, according to the latest market data. However, the world's largest cryptocurrency remained down 3.23% over the past week and 11.22% year-to-date, highlighting continued volatility in the broader digital asset market.
Ethereum (Ether) traded at $2,402.25, gaining 0.45%, while BNB rose 0.75% to $693.30. Cardano emerged among the stronger gainers, advancing 2.33% to $0.20558.
XRP, Solana and Other Altcoins Gain
XRP climbed 1.42% to $1.36932, while Polkadot gained 1.30% to $0.88. Avalanche rose 0.89%, Cosmos gained 0.81%, and Litecoin advanced 0.90%.
Solana, one of the largest cryptocurrencies by market capitalisation, traded at $100.8035, up 0.35% during the session.
Despite the daily recovery, several cryptocurrencies continued to show negative weekly performance. Bitcoin was down 3.23% for the week, Ethereum had declined 4.30%, XRP was lower by 5.76%, and Solana remained down 7.62% over the same period.
Monthly Performance Remains Strong
The longer-term monthly data showed stronger momentum across several major digital assets. Bitcoin was up 21.27% over the month, while Ethereum gained 28.60%.
Solana recorded a 36.82% monthly increase, while XRP gained 27.59%. BNB was also up 16.79% during the monthly period.
Stablecoin Dai remained largely unchanged at $0.99971.
The latest movement suggests that cryptocurrency markets are witnessing a short-term rebound, although the negative weekly and year-to-date performance of several major tokens indicates that investor sentiment remains cautious.
For Indian crypto investors, global price movements, regulatory developments, US monetary policy and institutional flows continue to remain key factors influencing digital asset prices.
