The cryptocurrency market extended its recovery on September 19, 2026, with Bitcoin climbing above the $81,000 mark and most major digital assets posting gains. In the supplied market data, Bitcoin was trading at $81,150, up 0.24%, while Ethereum gained 0.41% to $2,622.17.
Bitcoin's market capitalisation rose to approximately $1.63 trillion. The world's largest cryptocurrency was up 5.02% over the past week and 11.17% over the past month. However, it remained down 7.25% year-to-date and 29.90% from a year earlier.
The latest move is consistent with the sharp rebound seen in global crypto markets on Friday. Bitcoin had surged more than 5% during the session to above $80,000, recovering from the week's volatility around the Federal Reserve's rate decision and the failure of the U.S. Senate's CLARITY Act vote.
Uniswap remains the standout performer
Among the cryptocurrencies in the snapshot, Uniswap delivered the strongest performance. It was trading at $9.02, up 1.83%, while gaining 41.57% over the past week and 139.84% in one month. Uniswap was also up 60.44% year-to-date, making it one of the few major tokens in the list with positive YTD performance.
Other major altcoins also advanced. Cardano gained 3.21% to $0.23184, Avalanche rose 3.29% to $8.48 and Solana climbed 0.70% to $113.41. XRP gained 1.19% to $1.41361, while Polkadot increased 0.65% to $1.14.
Solana was up 29.35% over the past month, while Polkadot gained 34.44%. Litecoin rose 1.09% and was up 22.95% over the month.
Polygon was the notable exception, falling 3.09% on the day despite remaining 27.04% higher over one month.
