For Rajasthan to become the leading state in the country by the year 2030, Vision Document-2030 is being prepared by the state government. In this context, a state level workshop of stakeholders associated with cooperation was organized by the Cooperative Department at Sahakar Bhawan on Saturday.
On this occasion, Principal Secretary Cooperative Mrs. Shreya Guha said that stakeholder consultation conference related to cooperative has been organized at the division and district level and the work of compiling the suggestions is going on. He said that all your suggestions will be compiled and included in the Vision Document-2030. The suggestions compiled for the purpose of developing the picture of Rajasthan in the year 2030 will be sent to the state government.
In the workshop, presidents of village service cooperative societies from different districts of the state stressed the need for improvement in the social, economic and technical fields of cooperatives. To strengthen the Gram Seva Cooperative Societies, the stakeholders proposed increasing the share of the society to Rs 25 lakh, giving interest free loan up to Rs 3 lakh to the members, distribution of short term loan of at least Rs 10 crore by the society, construction of warehouse of 500 metric tonnes, construction of warehouse. Gave other suggestions including providing free land and financial resources, providing financial resources for business.
Similarly, government should bear the payment of insurance premium for members of schemes run for social welfare, committee employees should get salary like government employees, products of women's committees should be given proper platform, chairpersons of committee should be public representatives. Such facilities were provided along with other suggestions.
To strengthen cooperatives economically, there should be CCB in every district, new looms should be made available to weavers' societies, loan limit should be increased, purchases should be made on MSP from Gram Seva Cooperative Societies, financial assistance should be provided for diversification in the business of GSS. Including other suggestions received.
To technically strengthen the cooperative societies, infrastructure should be promoted, loan distribution should be verified, loan facility should be provided in a systematic and simple manner, loans should be given as per credit, drones should be made available to the societies, elections should be held on time, cooperative unions. Other suggestions were received including that it should be revived.
At the beginning of the workshop, Registrar Cooperative Mr. Meghraj Singh Ratnu told about the objectives of Rajasthan Mission-2030. He said that the state government is preparing Vision Documents-2030 by taking suggestions from all the stakeholders to make Rajasthan Sirmaur by 2030. This exercise of Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot is an attempt to take cooperation forward. He welcomed all the stakeholders.
