Bhiwani: A controversy has emerged over the Haryanvi song ‘Ghaghra Wali Chhori’, triggering strong resentment within the Brahmin community. Members of the Azad Sena organisation, led by its founder and president Kuldeep Sharma, submitted a memorandum to the Sub-Divisional Officer demanding the registration of a criminal case against those associated with the song.
In the memorandum, Kuldeep Sharma along with Sandeep Kumar, Sahil, Raj Kumar, and Pradeep Vashishth alleged that women from the Brahmin community have been portrayed in an objectionable and derogatory manner in the song, which has deeply hurt community sentiments.
They further claimed that the song was deliberately created and circulated on social media with the intention of insulting a particular community and spreading hatred, thereby harming social harmony. The organisation has demanded strict action against the artists, producers, directors, as well as the channels and public management agencies involved in promoting and broadcasting the song.
The matter has drawn local attention, and authorities are expected to examine the complaint and take action as per law.
