Masks, sanitizers and frequent hand wash, all provide the best protection against the spread of COVID-19. However, no one could imagine that face masks have another great perk i.e. facilitating people to walk around in disguise. The New York Times also recently published research which reveals that the mask would hinder the ability to recognize faces even making it impossible to identify at times.
Gleeden’s study reveals that 72% of unfaithful partners are finally able to meet their lovers or mistresses without the fear of being caught or seen or identified by family or friends, thanks to face masks. Over 76% of the respondents agreed that face masks have become a big help indeed as they can meet their mistress or lover in daylight without dreading being recognised. Further, 58% of responders admitted that compulsory face covering is facilitating a meeting with their lovers in public places.
Meeting your lover close to your workplace has always been risky and thus many people have avoided it but now when your face is covered and there is less chance of people recognising you, 47% of the respondents dare to meet near the workplace while 13% i.e. the most daring ones don’t hesitate in meeting close to their habitation. Illicit couples are so in love with the carefree dates the masks have facilitated for them that 18% secretly wish for the situation to continue for the whole 2021 or as long as possible.
Do You Suspect Your Partner of Enjoying these Uncertain Times?
If you have been doubting your partner of infidelity or someone recently reported you of probably spotting them in public with an unknown face, they might be right. Lovers like everything that saves them from the danger of being recognised in public, especially those who are cheating on their partners. And yes, it is not surprising if they silently wish for the pandemic to continue for a long time.
So, be attentive. If you are suddenly struggling to talk to your partner over a call when you could in the past, it should raise a red flag. If your partner is unreachable while he/she is on a business trip or working till late in the office, that is a bad sign.
