During the meeting, the Deputy Chief Minister reviewed recruitment processes being carried out through the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) and the Employee Selection Board (ESB). He sought detailed updates on the recruitment of medical officers, specialist doctors, physiotherapists, laboratory technicians, nursing officers, ANMs, and other medical and support staff. The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed infrastructure development works under the Health Department. He assessed the progress of under-construction hospital buildings, medical colleges, community health centres, and primary health centres, and directed officials to strictly adhere to quality standards and project timelines. He further reviewed the procurement, installation, and utilization of modern medical equipment and stressed the importance of proper maintenance to ensure optimal functionality.
Reviewing the TB-Free India Campaign, Mr. Shukla called for intensified efforts to enhance public participation. He directed officials to ensure active involvement of public representatives, voluntary organisations, and various sections of society. He stated that tuberculosis elimination is a collective responsibility and that public awareness and community participation play a vital role in achieving the campaign’s objectives.
