A cold wave has tightened its grip across Haryana, intensifying the chill as icy winds from the hills sweep into the plains. The impact is clearly visible on both daytime and nighttime temperatures, which have dropped noticeably.
According to the Meteorological Department, the cold conditions may further intensify in the coming days. A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to affect the region from December 4, leading to a shift in weather patterns.
The Met Department has predicted cold-wave conditions in 11 districts, including Sirsa, Hisar, Fatehabad, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Narnaul, Jind, Kaithal, Kurukshetra, Karnal, and Panipat. Both day and night temperatures have fallen across the state.
Daytime temperatures in Haryana are currently 1.7°C below normal, with several districts recording a drop of up to 2°C. The weather is expected to remain variable until December 7. During this period, partial cloud cover is likely due to the passing Western Disturbance, causing a slight fall in day temperatures and a marginal rise in night temperatures.
