China and PRK Dominate Day 3 of the 2026 AWF Asian Senior Weightlifting Championships

Lifters from China and PRK delivered outstanding performances on Day 3 of the 2026 AWF Asian Senior (Men & Women) Weightlifting Championships being held in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India. India also added to its tally with a commendable Bronze Medal performance.

In the Men’s 65 kg category, Yueji He of China clinched the Gold Medal with a total lift of 329 kg, while Myong Jin Pak of PRK secured Silver with 321 kg. China’s Hongjee Ding claimed the Bronze Medal with a total of 319 kg.

In the Women’s 58 kg category, II Gyong Kim of PRK won the Gold Medal with a total lift of 230 kg. China’s Tingna Wei secured Silver with 225 kg, while Thi Tam Quang of Vietnam took Bronze with 221 kg.

Earlier in the Women’s 53 kg category, Jinlan Zhao of China won Gold with a total lift of 216 kg. Vietnam’s Hoai Huong Nguyen secured Silver with 195 kg, while India’s Gyaneshwari Yadav earned the Bronze Medal with a total lift of 194 kg, drawing applause from the home crowd.
