
Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot said that the State Government is committed to provide excellent health services to the people of the State and will not allow any budget constraint to provide better treatment to the common man.
Shri Gehlot was addressing the inauguration ceremony of new facilities at Sawai Mansingh Hospital on Saturday. He said that with the installation of new testing machines in the hospital, the treatment of patients would be facilitated. The Chief Minister said that health related problems affect every household. Earlier, where a financially weak person used to shy away from getting expensive treatment, today due to the implementation of Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme, the poor person has got freedom from the worry of expensive treatment. Today SMS Hospital stands at par with the most reputed medical institutions of the country due to the policies of the state government.
The Chief Minister said that the doctors and other health workers of the state did a great job in Corona, which was appreciated all over the country. In Rajasthan, along with expensive medicines and tests, now expensive treatments like cochlear implants are being available free of cost. Medical colleges are being set up in 30 out of 33 districts of the state, in which work is being done to ensure availability of faculty, infrastructure and equipment. He said that medical service is a humanitarian work and the patients suffer a lot due to strike in it. Hence it should be avoided. The state government is committed to listen and solve all the problems of the doctors. The Chief Minister appealed to the private hospitals to cooperate in implementing the Right to Health Bill.
SMS got state-of-the-art testing machines and other equipment
The Spectral City Scan Machine costing Rs.12 crore in SMS Hospital was inaugurated by the Chief Minister at Soni City MRI Center. This machine of 256 slices capacity will reduce the effect of radiation on patients. This machine is capable of detecting all types of diseases. On the other hand, under the budget announcement in the Department of Neurosurgery, the Digital Subtraction Angiography Lab was inaugurated by Shri Gehlot at a cost of Rs.10 crore. With this, angiography of the brain and spine can be done in less time and with more precision. Shri Gehlot also inaugurated a new cath lab in the Department of Cardiology at a cost of Rs.6.5 crore. The Chief Minister also dedicated Digital Subtraction Angiography Advance Lab at a cost of Rs.6 crore in the Department of Radio Diagnosis. For the correct diagnosis and treatment of neurovascular diseases, so many modern machines are available in few hospitals in the country.
Chief Minister met the relatives of the patients
During this, 15-year-old Annu and her father, who benefited from the free cochlear implant, met the Chief Minister and expressed their gratitude. During this, the Chief Minister also met the relatives of the patients who came to the hospital for treatment and inquired about their well being. The family members appreciated the scheme being run for free treatment.
Health Minister Shri Parsadi Lal Meena said that all types of treatment, tests and medicines are being provided free of cost to the common man in the state. The State Government is committed to provide best medical services to the common man.
During this, doctors told that free heart transplants are being done for patients under Chiranjeevi Yojana. Also, the facility of lung transplant is also going to start in the hospital soon. The burn ward of the hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art medical facilities. The epilepsy monitoring department will also be established soon. So far, free cochlear implants have been done for more than 1000 children. Recently, a free cochlear implant was done by the hospital in both the ears of a patient. Apart from this, Dr. Anil Sharma, Department of Cardiac Surgery of MMS Hospital, Dr. Rakesh Jain, Department of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Arvind Vyas of Neurology Department explained in detail about the various medical facilities available in the hospital.
