Bangalore, India: CHARGE ZONE®, India’s fastest-growing EV charging network, has launched its cutting-edge mega supercharging stations along the Bangalore-Chennai and Bangalore-Hyderabad national highways. These state-of-the-art facilities are equipped with 1.2MW capacity, integrated solar microgrids, and 1MWh battery energy storage systems to ensure 24x7 reliable and sustainable EV charging.
Strategically placed at 150–200 km intervals, the supercharging stations will dramatically improve long-distance electric travel, supported by intermediate standard charging stations to maintain seamless connectivity. Each mega station includes DC fast chargers ranging from 180KW to 240KW, suitable for a wide range of EVs including passenger vehicles, electric buses, and commercial trucks.
“The launch of these mega supercharging stations represents a transformative step in advancing India's EV ecosystem,” said Mr. Kartikey Hariyani, Founder & CEO of CHARGE ZONE. “By bridging infrastructure gaps on key highways, we are redefining the long-distance EV experience—making it seamless, sustainable, and efficient.”
Mr. Ravindra Mohan, Director, CHARGE ZONE, added, “Battery energy storage with renewable integration is the true enabler for net-zero emissions in India’s e-mobility journey.”
These new stations are designed to optimize charging time, enabling EVs to reach 80% charge in just 30 minutes, significantly reducing downtime for users. The integration of solar power and energy storage systems ensures uninterrupted, eco-friendly service.
In line with its nationwide expansion strategy, CHARGE ZONE plans to roll out 100+ supercharging stations with 240KW+ capacity and extend its network across 40,000 km of national highways. The current development covers 40,000–50,000 km of India's 150,000 km national highway electrification target.
This milestone underscores CHARGE ZONE’s commitment to innovation and sustainable infrastructure, helping EV drivers embrace a cleaner future with confidence.
