India’s largest power generating company, NTPC signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Ministry of Power for the year 2019-20. NTPC has kept key targets as Rs 20,000 crore for capital expenditure and generate 310 Billion Units (BU) of electricity under excellent category.
Archery Association of India (AAI) held an online felicitation function today to honour the Indian Recurve team for their stellar performance at the recently concluded Archery World Cup (Stage-1) in Guatemala. In the Women’s and Men’s Individual Recurve event, Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das won the Gold Medal in their respective categories.
Shri Arjun Munda, President, AAI & Union Tribal Minister was the Chief Guest at the function. Shri D.K. Patel, Director (HR), NTPC, Dr. Narinder Dhruv Batra, President, Indian Olympic Association (IOA) and Shri Sandeep Pradhan, Director General, Sports Authority of India (SAI) were the Guest of Honour.
In his address, Shri Munda congratulated and thanked NTPC for its support for archery in India. He further said that their support has been exemplary, not only in helping the present archers achieve excellence but also has helped in nurturing newer talents for a brighter future, especially during these challenging times.
Speaking on the occasion, Shri D.K. Patel, Director (HR) said, our Indian Archers have brought laurels and glory to the country by winning the Archery World Cup Stage-1. NTPC is privileged to be associated with this sport. On behalf of NTPC, he congratulated all players for their excellent performance.
