Kota, March 18, 2026: The annual cultural festival Anukriti 2026 at Rajasthan Technical University commenced on March 16 with vibrant enthusiasm, setting the tone for a dynamic celebration of youth, creativity, and community spirit. The first two days (Day 0 and Day 1) witnessed high participation across sports, arts, and cultural performances, transforming the campus into a lively festive arena.
The festival began with the Anukriti Walk-o-Run held at Agora in the morning, where students, faculty members, non-teaching staff, and their families actively participated. The event featured 3 km and 5 km race categories. In the 3 km race, Kunal (boys) and Nikita Khoja (girls) emerged as winners, while in the 5 km category, Rajveer Bajia (boys) and Nikita (girls) secured top positions.
The evening marked the formal inauguration with the Anukriti Parade, which proceeded from Agora to the Vice-Chancellor’s Secretariat. Students from various clubs and societies participated, showcasing unity and institutional spirit. The festival was officially inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nimit Chaudhary, who unveiled the fest banner. The ceremony was attended by key academic leaders including Dr. Rajshree Tapadia (Coordinator, Student Activity Center), Dr. Dinesh Birla (Dean, Faculty Affairs), and Dr. R.S. Meena (Dean, Student Welfare), whose coordination and guidance ensured smooth execution.
Day 1 featured one of the major highlights—the Art Carnival, where students displayed their creative talent through live painting sessions, art exhibitions, and interactive stalls. Various clubs and societies organized multiple events, reflecting strong student engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration.
The evening cultural segment showcased a diverse lineup of performances including Bhangra, Haryanvi and Rajasthani folk dances, along with classical and contemporary singing. The program also included rap, poetry recitations, band performances, and a theatrical presentation of Ande ke Chilke, written by Mohan Rakesh, which received notable appreciation.
The event was graced by Chief Guest Prof. Mazhar Asif, Vice-Chancellor of Jamia Millia Islamia, who inspired students through his address enriched with literature, poetry, and motivational insights.
The day concluded with “Panache – The Fashion Parade”, themed around the Met Gala. In this competition, Keertansh Srivastava secured first place, followed by Tarana Chauhan in second place and Sparsh Srivastava in third.
With a blend of marathon events, parades, artistic showcases, and cultural performances, the opening days of Anukriti 2026 successfully fostered an atmosphere of enthusiasm, unity, and youthful energy—reflecting the evolving campus culture and student-led creativity at the university.
