New Delhi, Feb 19 — Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday outlined India’s strategic roadmap to shape a human-centric and ethical global AI ecosystem, positioning the country as a major force in the next phase of artificial intelligence.
Addressing global leaders and technology stakeholders at the India AI Impact Summit, the Prime Minister stressed that every technological disruption in history has eventually transformed into an opportunity for humanity — and AI must follow the same path.
He emphasized that ethical governance, trusted data, and human values will define the future of AI, warning that unregulated or biased systems could produce unreliable outcomes. “If the data is unreliable, the output will also be unreliable,” he noted, underlining the need for a global trusted data framework that respects data sovereignty.
