New Delhi: The 66th National Film Awards celebrated excellence in Indian cinema, with Gujarati film Hellaro winning the Best Feature Film award. Badhaai Ho received the award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, while Pad Man was named Best Film on Social Issues.
In the acting categories, Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal shared the Best Actor award for Andhadhun and Uri: The Surgical Strike respectively. Keerthy Suresh won Best Actress for her performance in Mahanati.
Aditya Dhar was named Best Director for Uri: The Surgical Strike, while Marathi film Naal won the Indira Gandhi Award for Best Debut Film of a Director.
