Imagine Photo Journalist Society is organizing its 5th Edition of the Jaipur Photojournalism Seminar, India’s first kind of photo journalism seminar, in association with Vedanta on 19th November,2019 in Jaipur. With an aim to promote photojournalism in India, experts in the field of journalism and eminent photo journalists are participating to enlighten youngsters. Eminent personalities with vast experience will throw light on the functioning of the industry in present scenario and changing trends in the field of Photo Journalism.
The daylong seminar will comprise 12 activities; the first three activities will be the most intensive, wherein Professor Dr. Sachin Batra will provide insights about Mobile journalism and lamp lighting by all guests. Following this, a photography workshop will be conducted by Mr. Rohit Parihar, India Today, who is an Editor in Jaipur, and educates aspiring photographers and journalists about critical awareness of socio-political issues, and cultural contexts. The workshop will start at 9:00am followed by a lamp lighting ceremony. Various sessions on photography will be conducted by Mr. Vipul Mudgal who is Director at I AM 4 CHANGE, Ajay Chopra at CRAYONS, Mr. Purushottam Diwakar, Senior Photo Journalist at India Today, Mr. Paroma Mukherjee, Senior Photo Journalist at Hindustan Times, Mr. Tara Chand, Dainik Bhaskar, Ayodhya Prasad Gaur at Cairn Oil and Gas, IFS Arijit Banerjee, Senior Veteran Umesh Gogna will be the key note speakers for the day.
The workshop will be hosted at Hotel Holiday INN, where industry veterans will broaden the availability and landscape of photography during the various sessions. All speakers will share their learnings in photography with respect to journalistic ethics, professional practice and visual literacy.
