New Delhi, 26 November — The Jaipur quilts displayed at the Rajasthan Pavilion in the ongoing 44th International Trade Fair at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi are drawing significant attention from visitors. Their lightweight design, softness, and superior warmth have made them one of the most admired products at the pavilion. A wide and diverse range of traditional Rajasthani quilts is available for buyers.
Abdul Rauf, stall operator at the Rajasthan Pavilion, shared that the 100-gram ultra-light Jaipur quilts have become particularly popular among visitors. He noted that quilt-making is the hereditary craft of the Mansoori community, which has been practicing this traditional art for seven to eight generations.
According to him, while the Mansoori artisans produce various winter-use household items, their expertise in quilt-making makes them especially renowned. Their high-quality quilts, designed for daily winter use, are a mark of their craftsmanship. The quilts are available in various shapes and sizes, ranging from ₹500 to ₹5,000.
Another artisan, Mohammad Husaif, mentioned that the stall also offers cotton-filled jackets, priced between ₹800 and ₹2,000, alongside the Jaipur quilts.
