The three-day Sharad Rang Mahotsav was inaugurated at the Jawahar Kala Kendra (Jawahar Arts Center) in Jaipur. The Delfic Council of Rajasthan has played a significant role in promoting and preserving art and culture. Despite challenging geographical conditions, Rajasthan has maintained its distinct identity in the field of art and culture on both national and international levels.
The Additional Chief Secretary of Medical and Health, Mrs. Shubhra Singh, highlighted the importance of maintaining one's hobbies and interests, especially during government service when one is often posted in various locations. She emphasized the role of the Delfic Council of Rajasthan in providing a platform for the youth to further Rajasthan's unique culture and way of life.
The Principal Secretary for Cooperation and President of the Delfic Council of Rajasthan, Mrs. Shreya Guha, introduced the council and its various activities and events. The renowned wildlife photographer and IAS officer Mr. Arijit Banerjee spoke about the fascinating and inspiring activities of Delfic. He highlighted the combination of art and science in photography.
During the event, the council launched its e-book. The Council's Secretary and Director of the National Health Mission, Mr. Jitendra Soni, expressed gratitude to all the attendees and participants. The Director of the North Region Cultural Center in Patiala, Mr. Furkan Khan, provided insights into the three-day workshop.
In the Rangayan (an auditorium within Jawahar Kala Kendra) on the 14th of October, there will be a performance of the dance drama "Mystical Forest" by the famous Delhi-based choreographer and dance guru Santosh Nair.
Students learned from photography experts during the workshop. Celebrity photographer Mr. Shirish Karale from Mumbai taught students and budding photographers various aspects of photography, including mobile photography, the use of lighting in photography, outdoor photography with natural light, DSLR camera functions, celebrity photography, nature photography, product photography, travel photography, and more. Practical sessions were also conducted, delving into different dimensions of photography.
