Republic Day in Barmer was celebrated with enthusiasm and solemnity. On the occasion, Collector Tina Dabi first hoisted the national flag at her official residence, following which she reached the Collectorate premises, where officers, staff members and school students were already present. The entire campus reflected a disciplined and festive atmosphere, with preparations underway for the national anthem and flag hoisting.
During the ceremony at the Collectorate, as the Tricolour was hoisted and the salute was being taken, Tina Dabi was seen standing in the opposite direction for a few moments. However, the situation was immediately corrected after a gesture from a security personnel on duty, and the programme continued smoothly without any disruption.
The video of the incident has since gone viral, triggering mixed reactions on social media platforms. Since morning, the Barmer Collector has remained at the centre of online discussions, with users sharing varied opinions on the brief moment captured during the official ceremony.
