A reported data exposure linked to the Tribeca Film Festival has allegedly exposed nearly 666,000 records, including contact information associated with Hollywood celebrities, actors, filmmakers and entertainment industry professionals.
Cybersecurity researcher Jeremiah Fowler reportedly discovered four databases containing records dating from 2019 to 2026. The exposed information allegedly included names, phone numbers and email addresses, while reports also pointed to device-related information linked to some email addresses.
Names reportedly appearing in the databases include Angelina Jolie, Robert De Niro, Martin Scorsese, George Lucas, Danny Boyle, Morgan Freeman, Jennifer Lawrence, Winona Ryder, Neil Patrick Harris, Rami Malek, Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas.
However, reports indicate that much of the exposed contact information may have belonged to managers, agents and other representatives connected to the celebrities, rather than the stars' personal contact details.
Fowler reportedly alerted the Tribeca Film Festival about the exposed databases before the festival's 12-day event began on June 3. The databases were subsequently removed from public access, although it remains unclear how long the information had been accessible or whether any unauthorised parties accessed or copied the data.
