Tata Power Skill Development Institute (TPSDI), a unit of Tata Power, was recently awarded the Best Project in the Education & Skill Training category at the third edition of The CSR Journal Excellence Awards event held in New Delhi.
Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company, won this recognition for its impact in addressing the skill gap challenge faced by the Indian power and allied sectors.
Tata Power’s TPSDI was amongst the 3 projects shortlisted from across India. The jury for the award was impressed by how TPSDI scaled up its skill training operations to train more than 50,000 people within four years while maintaining stringent quality for its training which was reflected in the high placement percentage of its trainees.
Shri Kishan Reddy, Minister of State for Home Affairs, Government of India presented the awardto Mr Mukul Saxena and Mr Shivadas Nair of Tata Power Skill Development Instituteat Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi.
