PVR INOX, India's most premium multiplex chain, in association with United International Pictures (UIP), is delighted to announce the 20th anniversary re-release of Pride & Prejudice (2005), the timeless romantic drama that continues to captivate audiences across generations.
From July 25, moviegoers across India will be able to relive the beloved story of Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Darcy on the big screen — the way it was meant to be experienced.
Directed by Joe Wright, Pride & Prejudice stars Keira Knightley in an Academy Award-nominated role as the spirited Elizabeth Bennet, alongside Matthew Macfadyen as the quietly intense Mr. Darcy. Set against the elegant landscapes and ballrooms of Georgian England, the film's evocative score by Dario Marianelli and poetic cinematography have made it one of the most celebrated literary adaptations in modern cinema.
Niharika Bijli, Lead Strategist, PVR INOX says "We're delighted to bring Pride & Prejudice to PVR INOX in India following its international re-release. This year marks a milestone anniversary for this beautiful adaptation, which very quickly propelled itself into cult classic status. The film has had a very successful re-release internationally, so we were eager to offer fans in India the same cinematic experience. We're thrilled to celebrate this iconic film as it continues to cement its place in cinema history"
PVR INOX Curated Shows & SCREENIT: Watch What You Love, Together
To meet the growing appetite for timeless films and breakthrough cinema, especially among younger audiences and nostalgia seekers, PVR INOX has scaled up its Curated Shows slate. In the first half of FY25 alone, the company rolled out 80+ curated re-releases across languages and genres — including recent fan-favourites like Umrao Jaan, There Will Be Blood, Rockstar, Tumbbad, etc.
These special screenings have not only filled gaps in the content pipeline, but also rekindled a shared love for cinematic classics — driving up footfalls, joy, and community bonding.
Complementing this is SCREENIT, a unique feature on the PVR INOX app that lets audiences curate their own shows. Viewers can select a film from a growing library of 500+ titles, choose the showtime and location, and invite friends — all at standard ticket pricing. If enough seats are booked, the show goes live — and the curator can earn rewards.
Coming Soon: The Biggest Trilogies Return to Cinemas
Starting late 2025, PVR INOX will unveil legendary trilogies in restored 4K and Dolby surround sound delivered as event-style screenings.
