Jaipur, February 03, 2025: The second day of the third Design Festival of Nine Dot Squares is getting a lot of love from the people of Jaipur. Everyone is surprised to see this design festival because this design festival has been made in a unique style. In the festival, a different kind of Jugalbandi with clay was seen for the visitors. In which the experience of making art with clay with closed eyes thrilled the audience. People from all sections participated in this workshop.
India's craft is getting a new dimension in the three-day festival to be held at RIC. In which more than 60 stalls are adding to the beauty of this design festival. In this, traditional craftsmanship is being shown with modern design. Along with this, the audience is getting a unique presentation of handmade products. Under this, different products have been made with Mochi Taka, Ainakari, Metal Thukkai, Pichwai Painting, Brass and Stone Inlay, which are being displayed here. The gallery has been made using paper honey comb board.
Curator Shagun Singh said that Nine Dot Squares has brought to life a unique concept and has prepared cartography maps, street plays and cultural programs to give visitors a complete experience through a show in this design festival to create awareness about more than ninety stepwells in and around Jaipur.
Architect Akanksha Modi, also known as Bawdi Baisaa, said that Rang De Basanti Utsav will be organized in the stepwell of Prahladpura village on the occasion of Basant Panchami. In which the villagers participated enthusiastically from the very beginning and have also been fully cooperative in the restoration of the stepwell and due to this they will now also give cultural presentations in this stepwell. For this, Nine Dot Squares, Jaipur Virasat Foundation, Bawdi Baisaa, Save Over City NGO have also provided support.
What was special today - The second edition of Legend in Focus was organized by Sudhir Kasliwal. An exhibition of his 60-year journey of photographs was organized. He also told the story of his photographs to the audience. Curated by Sangeeta Singh. Blue Pottery Workshop Dr. Leela Bordia, Founder of Neerja International shared her experiences with the audience. Children learned caricature art in the caricature workshop.

Tariq Khan is a third generation artist who has been carrying forward his father's work for the last 70 years and working online and offline. Tariq said that he does hand embroidery work on all types of clothes like silk, cotton. Pichwai art and Shrinathji are his specialties. Painting of horses, trees, peacocks, embroidery is hand art. Special attention is paid to the quality of the items. Tariq and his entire family are adept in handicrafts, his sister Gulbahar does Zardosi work while his brother does very beautiful work of Aari-Tari.
Harjeet Kaur, who has displayed her glass painting at the Design Festival from Delhi, said that painting has always been my passion. My niche is glass painting and I have been doing it for 25 years now. It has been my traditional profession now. When I hold the brush the creativity just flows from my hand and art pieces are created. I take inspiration from daily life and I love detailing. The products vary from glass paintings to your everyday home decor products. Each product is created with attention to detail and is carefully designed. All the colours used are carefully chosen by me so that they look the most beautiful and they can stay on the glass for a long time.
Antiques Nautical Art Handicrafts Balraj Singh Rathore and Uttam Singh Shekhawat, two youngsters, have made famous antiques products from all over the country available to buyers of traditional items at their store 'Jaipur Treasure'. It took the artist 19 months to make this horse embroidery painting. These include home decor products like tripod light, Hollywood helmet, globe designer lights, telescope, compass, sand timer, furniture, paintings and rugs as well as beautiful key chains. Balraj and Uttam Singh are touring major cities across the country and delivering major handicraft products to their enthusiasts. Balraj said that they also make Indian handicrafts and paintings available to enthusiasts abroad as per their demand. Their Barmeri Pench painting sets them apart from other stores in Jaipur.
