To take the advantage of festive season to provide easy credit facility to the general public, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India has launched the Customer Outreach Initiative Program. This program is being organized in identified districts across the country in phase manner by all public sector banks. The first phased of this initiative has been organized in 226 districts from 03.10.2019 to 07.10.2019 and the Second phase will be organized in 148 districts from 21.10.2019 to 25.10.2019.
In the second phase, total 07 districts i.e. Bikaner, Udaipur, Jhalawar, Karauli, Sawai-Madhopur, Dungarpur and Chittorgarh have been identified in Rajasthan State where this programme is scheduled to be organized for 2 days. Identified Public Sector Banks would coordinate with all Banks operating in the district, NBFCs/MFIs/ HFCs etc., NABARD, SIDBI, UIDAI, MSME association & concerned all banks / financial institutions to organize the event successfully.
The objective of this program is to facilitate customers to access various credit facilities such as Retail, Agriculture, Auto, Home, MSME, Education, Personal, Consumer Loans etc. in tune with the guidelines of Reserve Bank of India. During the program, special attention will be given to schemes like Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), Stand Up India (SUI), Dairy etc. At the same time, emphasis will also be given on Financial Inclusion schemes and encouraging consumers and merchants to be aware to use more and more Digital Payment methods.
At the District Level, all Public Sector Banks, NBFCs / HFCs / MFIs, Private sector banks (if desired), UIDAI, SIDBI and NABARD will put up a stall at the venue with all the facilities and display of all Bank Products. Aadhar Card Enrollment / Updation, Agricultural Loan Schemes knowledge etc. will also be provided so that public awareness can be generated on these topics.
