Mumbai, October 08, 2021: The Mahindra World City (MWC) developments at Chennai and Jaipur have been ranked as ‘Leaders’, and among India’s top 13 Special Economic Zones (SEZ),in thelatest Industrial Park Rating System report (IPRS 2.0) released by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India.
The IPRS 2.0 report maps 449 industrial parks and special economic zones acrossIndia, and rates them on multiple parameters such as External Infrastructure;Internal Infrastructure;Business Support Services; and Environment, SafetyandSustainability. Both MWC Chennai and MWC Jaipur have been acknowledged as top-performing industrial destinations in their respective regions and at an all-India level on the basis ofthese parameters.

The Mahindra World City developments in Chennai and Jaipur are pioneering integrated cities built in public-private partnership. These projects comprise large-format ecosystems that are self-contained, with co-located industrial, residential and commercial infrastructure. Spread over approximately 4500 acres, MWC Chennai and MWC Jaipur together encompass dedicated Special Economic Zones; Domestic Tariff Areas; and residential and social zones. Together, they have created direct employment for more than69,000 persons so far.
