Maharashtra Election Results 2024:
In the Maharashtra Assembly Elections 2024, the Versova seat became a topic of discussion. Former Bigg Boss contestant and actor, Ajaz Khan, contested the election from this seat on the ticket of the Azad Samaj Party, led by Nagina MP Chandrashekhar Azad.
According to the Election Commission, after the voting on November 20, 2024, the results were announced on November 23, 2024. The Versova seat became especially notable on the internet because Ajaz Khan was contesting. However, when the results were revealed, it was found that he received fewer votes than NOTA (None of the Above). While NOTA got 1,298 votes, Ejaz Khan only received 155 votes. A total of 16 candidates were in the fray, but the winner was Haroon Khan from the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray faction), who defeated Ejaz by a margin of 65,241 votes.
After the results, Ajaz Khan was heavily trolled on the internet. He secured the 12th position out of 16 candidates with only 155 votes. There were a total of 147,928 voters in the Versova constituency. Ejaz Khan is also quite active on social media, where he regularly shared updates about his campaign during the election period.
