There will not only be a change in the way a student studies but also in the way examinations are conducted and the final assessment is provided. Also, there will be a lot more flexibility to choose subjects in schools and colleges. With the coming up of the policy comes the need to examine as to how does the new NEP seek to align India’s school and higher education with the needs of the time. What are the priorities that have been identified in the policy and how does it propose to achieve them? What is there in it that for the empowerment and preparation of children for their future? So, the challenge lies in translating this vision and transformative agenda. The webinar aims to initiate a discourse on the essential step towards enactment of the NEP 2020. It is hoped that the webinar will provide an opportunity to create a national network of researchers, experts and policy makers for sustainable knowledge building towards the pathway of implementing the NEP 2020.
