A team of seven students from Department of Mechanical Engineering and Electronics & Communication Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) have won second position in ‘Aero Design Challenge-2021’ organised by Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) India Southern Section (SAEISS) in “Design” under regular category. Four out of seven members were girl students with team leader one among them.
More than 60 teams from engineering colleges all over India participated in this competition. The results were announced on August 3, 2021. The team was mentored by Prof. S.M. Muzakkir, Department of Mechanical Engineering, JMI in the design of Fixed Wing Unmanned Vehicle.
The SAE is a global leader that promotes development and progress in the auto-transportation sector. Congratulating team members, Prof. Najma Akhtar, Vice Chancellor, JMI said that prize from such an elite society SAE is a big boost to competence of JMI’s teaching-learning and image as a leading institution.
