Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt starrer ‘Gully Boy’, one of the biggest hits of the year swept this year’s Filmfare Awards with both the lead actors bagging the prestigious trophies for their roles in respective categories.

Alia Bhat took home the Best Actor ( Female) for her film ‘Gully Boy’ while Ranveer Singh Won Best Actor ( Male ) for the same. Veteran filmmaker Ramesh Sippy was honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
Best Actor Critics award has gone to Ayushman Khurrana for Article 15, while best actress critics award has gone to Bhumi Pednekar and Taapsee Pannu for ‘Saand Ki Aankh’.
Actor Govinda was felicitated with an award For Excellence in cinema. Zoya Akhtar received the Best Director Award for ‘Gully Boy’. Aditya Dhar won Best Debut Director For movie URI: The Surgical Strike.
