Governor Shri Mangubhai Patel said that various schemes being implemented by Prime Minister Narendra Modi have effectively contributed to housing, healthcare, and public welfare for the tribal community. He described the attractive performances of traditional tribal folk dances and songs presented by tribal folk artists during the program as symbols of the region’s rich cultural heritage.
Governor Shri Patel attended an interaction program with the tribal community organized on Thursday at Village Amla in Pandhurna district and addressed the public gathering. During his visit to Pandhurna district, the Governor also shared a warm meal at the home of Shri Raju Dhurve, a beneficiary of the Prime Minister Janman Housing Scheme, in Village Khutama.
Governor Shri Patel stated that the Ayushman Scheme is an unprecedented initiative that provides health security to every citizen. It is offering major relief to people in the treatment of serious illnesses. He informed that every individual above 70 years of age is also receiving benefits under the scheme. He added that families he meets at various events often tell him that their dream of owning a permanent house has been fulfilled through the Prime Minister Housing Scheme. He also appreciated the efforts being made in the state for screening and treatment of sickle cell disease.
Natural Farming Highly Beneficial for Human Health
Governor Shri Patel described naturally and organically produced agricultural products as extremely beneficial for human health. He encouraged farmers to adopt natural and organic farming practices. He made these remarks while interacting with farmers practicing natural farming at a stall showcasing natural organic products set up by the Farmers Welfare and Agriculture Development Department at Gram Panchayat Amla.
He gathered information from farmer Shri Matroolal Dongre of Village Bhoomma regarding his organically produced turmeric and organic toor dal, and from farmer Shri Moreshwar Danve of Sausar regarding his sugar-free organic black potato and naturally grown Sona Moti wheat.
Students Presented Gondi Dance Performance
Students of Sandipani School, Sausar welcomed Governor Shri Patel with a welcome song. Students of Government High School, Amla gave an attractive presentation of Gondi dance.
Governor Shri Patel distributed benefits to beneficiaries of various schemes, including disability certificates, food baskets to tuberculosis patients, Ayushman cards, assistance under the Bhagwan Birsa Munda Self-Employment Scheme, soil health cards to farmers, and benefits to beneficiaries associated with the Madhya Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission and the Animal Husbandry Department.
On this occasion, Collector Shri Neeraj Kumar Vashishtha honored Governor Shri Patel by presenting him a replica of the famous Shri Hanuman Temple of Jamsawali. Regional MP Shri Vivek Bunty Sahu, MLA Shri Vijay Chaure, MLA Shri Nilesh Uike, and several public representatives were also present at the program.
