Under the Kharif Marketing Year 2025–26, paddy procurement at the Minimum Support Price (MSP) began on November 15 across the Gourela–Pendra–Marwahi district. A total of 20 procurement centres have been established in the district to facilitate the process.
So far, the district has recorded the procurement of 10,81,559 quintals of paddy, benefiting 15,602 farmers, to whom an amount of ₹256.23 crore has been disbursed.
According to official data, Marwahi Development Block has procured 5,35,756.40 quintals of paddy, with payments of ₹126.92 crore made to 7,454 farmers. In Pendra Block, 2,22,190 quintals of paddy have been procured, and 3,575 farmers have received ₹52.64 crore. Similarly, Gourela Block has recorded the procurement of 3,23,612.40 quintals, with payments amounting to ₹76.66 crore made to 4,573 farmers.
Paddy procurement will continue until January 31, 2026. For the current season, the MSP has been fixed at ₹2,369 per quintal for common paddy and ₹2,389 per quintal for Grade-A paddy. Additionally, the State Government is procuring paddy at the rate of ₹3,100 per quintal, up to 21 quintals per acre.
Centre-wise procurement figures show significant collections across the district. Major centres include Medhuka (82,854 quintals), Larkeni (94,000.40 quintals), Dhanauli (87,220 quintals), Sevni (70,630 quintals), Lalpur (79,488 quintals), Pendra (65,168.80 quintals), Bharridand (67,818.80 quintals), Navagaon Pendra (56,168.80 quintals), and Nimdha (52,096 quintals).
Other procurement centres such as Khodri, Deorikala, Gourela, Marwahi, Parasi, Taraigaon, Tendumuda, Banshital, Kodgar, Jogisar, and Basti have also contributed substantially to the overall paddy procurement in the district.
