The grand finale of the 10th anniversary of ‘Face to Face with the Government’, will be held on 26th August with Shri Amulya Patnaik, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Delhi. An initiative which was started 10 years ago by the now president Harjinder kaur Talwar in Delhi headquarters to facilitate women’s interactions with leaders from the bureaucracy and various government agencies on various issues and concerns of women, has become a PAN India initiative due to its immense popularity.
Commemorating the 10th edition of FACE TO FACE this year, FLO pan India Chapters organised the event across 16 different locations. The Grand Finale of this Season will be culminated at the FLO HQ, New Delhi with Shri Amulya Patnaik, IPS; Commissioner of Police, Delhi as the Chief Guest, Mr Satish Golcha, IPS Special CP, Crime; Mandeep Singh Randhawa,IPS DCP Central Delhi & PRO Delhi Police and Nupur Prasad, IPS DCP North Delhi will also be present during the session.
For the last 10 years, FLO has had the special privilege of bringing the senior most administrators of the Government for programme. In Earlier seasons of Face to Face Program, FLO had various panels comprising of Chief Secretary, Police Commissioner(s) of Delhi, Police Chiefs of NCR, Jt. Police Commissioner-Traffic, Secretary NORTH, MCD Commissioner, sales tax Commissioner, Transport Commissioner, Industry Commissioner, Vigilance Commissioner, NDMC Chairman and Municipal Commissioners of all Delhi zones to mention a few.
Ms Talwar says, “It is not only the prerogative and accountability of the law enforcement bodies for upkeeping law and order, but the civil society also owes great responsibility towards the maintenance of law and order. With this objective, I had initiated FACE TO FACE 10 years back. Today, it has emerged as the most effective platform for a collaborative communication between the policy makers and the civil society and to come out with effective redressal.”
