MedEd 2025, organised by the Global Trade & Technology Council India (GTTCI) in collaboration with Kokand University, Uzbekistan, marked a milestone in global medical education and healthcare partnerships. Graced by Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, Former Union Minister for Human Resource Development and Science & Technology, the conclave united leaders from healthcare, academia, and diplomacy to shape a future-ready medical workforce.
Kokand University emerged as a premier destination for Indian MBBS aspirants, offering world-class infrastructure, modern laboratories, NMG Aligned English-medium courses, Indian cuisine, and cultural familiarity, ensuring academic excellence and emotional comfort.
Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi commended the Indo-Uzbekistan partnership in education, highlighting the safety, hospitality, and deep cultural familiarity that make Uzbekistan an ideal choice for Indian students. He underscored the importance of nurturing ethical, globally competent doctors who are deeply connected to humanitarian values.
A highlight was the unveiling of the 55-acre Sardar Patel Institute of Medical Sciences in Andijan, featuring academic blocks, teaching hospitals, research centres, hostels, and wellness facilities—designed exclusively for Indian students.
In a landmark step, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital has committed to faculty development and resource building, merging Uzbekistan's academic strengths with India's clinical expertise. The hospital reaffirmed its commitment to establishing a world-class facility with advanced medical technology and facilitating patient exchanges between India and Uzbekistan.
Top doctors from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Amrita Hospitals, Yatharth Hospitals, and other leading institutions, along with education partners nationwide, appreciated the vision of replicating Indian medical education in Uzbekistan as a game-changing model.
Panels discussed global healthcare trends, medical regulation, and the Indo-Uzbekistan educational roadmap. The evening honoured doctors and diplomats and launched a collaborative brochure, marking MedEd 2025, powered by Investors Clinic, as a defining step toward global medical education excellence.
