The date for the Delhi Assembly elections has been announced today. The Election Commission, at a press conference held at 2 PM, revealed the schedule for the Delhi Assembly elections. Voting will take place on 5th February, and the results will be declared on 8th February. The term of the current Delhi Assembly ends on 23rd February.
The Delhi Assembly consists of 70 seats, and voting will be held for all the seats. In the 2020 elections, the dates were announced on 6th January, with voting taking place on 8th February and vote counting on 11th February. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) secured a resounding victory in that election, winning 62 of the 70 seats, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won 8 seats.
