Crime News: Petrol Tanker Overturns, Villagers Rush with Buckets
Jaipur: A major accident occurred in Rajasthan during the Raksha Bandhan festival. A diesel-filled tanker lost control and overturned in Balotra. As a result, the tanker, filled with diesel, crashed and began leaking fuel. Villagers rushed to collect the petrol, creating chaos as they brought buckets and containers to loot the fuel.
Accident Caused by Loss of Balance
The accident took place on the Barmer-Jodhpur National Highway. The police were informed of the incident and quickly arrived at the scene to stop the villagers from collecting the diesel. The incident occurred around 10 AM in the Pachpadra area of Balotra. Near Kalyanpur on the Barmer-Jodhpur Highway, the tanker lost its balance and overturned while it was en route from Jodhpur to Gujarat. Fortunately, the driver narrowly escaped and fled the scene. The police arrived as the villagers gathered to loot the petrol.
Investigation Underway
After the accident, a large number of local villagers gathered to collect the diesel leaking from the tanker. With cans, drums, buckets, and containers in hand, the villagers began filling them with diesel. As soon as the police arrived, the villagers fled the scene. However, many had already managed to take the diesel. The police have launched an investigation into the matter.
