Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that wherever crops have been damaged due to excessive rainfall, a survey of every affected field will be conducted and compensation will be provided to farmers. “Farmer brothers, do not worry. The state government stands firmly with you,” he assured.
On Friday, CM Dr. Yadav visited Kariya village in Sailana tehsil of Ratlam district to inspect crops affected by heavy rainfall and yellow mosaic disease. He visited the soybean fields of farmers Shri Manohar Lal Malviya and Shri Radheshyam Patidar and assured them that the government will help farmers overcome this crisis.
While consoling farmer Radheshyam Patidar in Kariya village, the Chief Minister said, “We are with you, do not worry.” He personally inspected the damaged crops in several fields and reiterated that the government will extend all possible assistance to farmers in this difficult time.
Interaction at Kisan Chaupal
After inspecting the crops, CM Dr. Yadav interacted with farmers at a Kisan Chaupal. He said both the Central and State governments are sensitive to the needs of farmers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is extending benefits under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, while the state government is also providing financial assistance.
He further added that 30 lakh farmers in the state will be provided solar pumps, and gaushalas are being established to prevent stray cattle from damaging crops. “Farmers should not worry at all; the government is standing with them at every step,” he said. The Chief Minister assured that a transparent survey will be conducted across all affected areas to assess crop losses.
CM Dr. Yadav directed the District Collector to conduct the survey of damaged crops immediately. Responding to farmers’ demands, he also announced the construction of a road from village Riyawan to village Kalukheda.
During the visit, Tribal Affairs Minister and District In-charge Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah, Javra MLA Dr. Rajendra Pandey, Mayor Prahlad Patel, District Panchayat Chairperson Smt. Lalabai Shambhulal Chandravanshi, along with public representatives and administrative officials, were present.
