
Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot said that despite the adverse condition of the economy in the country, development work is being done in every field in Rajasthan due to efficient financial management. Rajasthan has become a model state in various public welfare schemes including medical and health, education, drinking water, electricity, roads, staff, employment. About 1 crore people in the state are being given pension under social security. Every section is being benefited by taking the budget announcements on the ground.
Shri Gehlot was addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of 71 development works worth about Rs 69 crore at Khairthal in Alwar district on Wednesday. He said that the lack of finance would not be allowed by the state government to reach the last person. Shri Gehlot said that it is our endeavor to increase the per capita income and happiness index in the state. He also appealed to the people of the state to live in harmony, love and harmony. He said that he would not tolerate violence in the state.
Rajasthan leader in medical and health services
The Chief Minister said that Rajasthan is a leading state in health services in the entire country. The Central Government should implement the ‘Mukhyamantri Chiranjeevi Swasthya Bima Yojana’ across the country, so that every section can get relief from expensive medical treatment. He said that so far 25.26 lakh people have taken medical facilities under the scheme. Out of these, about Rs 2963 crore has been spent.
Important decisions in education, employment and employee interests
Shri Gehlot said that the State Government has provided strength to the students and parents by launching several schemes including ‘Mahatma Gandhi English Medium School’, ‘Mukhyamantri Anupriti Coaching Scheme’, ‘Rajiv Gandhi Scholarship for Academic Excellence’. He said that so far 1.30 lakh government jobs have been given. Around 1 lakh posts are under recruitment process. One lakh jobs have been announced in the budget 2022-23. In such a situation, Rajasthan has also become a leading state in providing government jobs in the country. He said that the future of the state employees has been secured by re-introducing the old pension scheme from a human point of view.
ERCP gets national project status
The Chief Minister said that there is a continuous demand from the Central Government to give the status of National Project to the Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP). It is very important for ensuring irrigation and drinking water supply in 13 districts. He assured the people of the state that even if the central government does not declare a national project, the state government will take it forward with its own resources.
Visited the exhibition and interacted with the beneficiaries
Shri Gehlot visited the exhibition based on flagship schemes of various departments at the meeting place. He inquired about the well being of the children who had undergone heart surgery under Chiranjeevi Yojana and the beneficiaries of other schemes. He also distributed certificates and checks to the beneficiaries. On this, the beneficiaries thanked the Chief Minister. Earlier, Shri Gehlot offered flowers to the statue of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar at Ambedkar Circle and also interacted with the public present.
Former Education Minister Shri Govind Singh Dotasara said that the State Government is taking important decisions for the welfare of every section. Many decisions including separate agriculture budget, old pension scheme, English medium schools have empowered the common man. Deputy Chairman of Rajasthan Farmers Commission Shri Deepchand Kheria said that every section is benefiting from the policies of the state. There has been an all-round development of the area in the last four years. On this occasion, various social organizations and state employees expressed their gratitude to the Chief Minister for important decisions.
