Raipur, March 6, 2026: The Chhattisgarh government has approved ₹95.36 crore for the construction of two roads in Durg district, covering a total length of 10.3 kilometres. The approval was granted after clearance from Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Minister Arun Sao.
Following the minister’s approval, the state government issued a circular from the ministry to the Chief Engineer regarding the release of funds for the project. The Deputy Chief Minister has directed officials to strictly ensure the quality of materials and construction work, warning that responsibility will be fixed and action taken if any deficiency is found.
According to the Public Works Department, ₹30.20 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of a 5.26 km four-lane road connecting Pulgaon Main Road to Anjora–Rasmada State Highway in Durg district.
Additionally, ₹65.15 crore has been approved for the construction of a 5.03 km canal road from Nandani Road to Avantibai Chowk.
The department has instructed the Chief Engineer to ensure that the tender process is completed within the stipulated time and that the construction work is carried out with financial prudence as per the approved estimates. It has also directed the executing agency to complete the project within the contractual deadline.
