Balkrishna Industries (BKT), India’s leading manufacturer of off-highway tires has inaugurated its second agritire showroom and information center in the country, in Sri-Ganganagar, Rajasthan. BKT will now share its extensive expertise with farmers of Rajasthan by suggesting the right tires for their tractors and other agricultural equipment. The one-of-its-kind showroom was inaugurated by Mr. Rajeev Kumar, Head (Agri sales), Domestic business, BKT Tires in the presence of local farmers from the state.
Mr. Rajeev Kumar said, “Rajasthan’s economy, just like our country’s is largely agriculture-based. This is why we have focused on the state and launched our second agri tire center here. While we are planning to expand our distribution network in the coming years, it is equally critical to raise awareness about the important role that tires play in agricultural operations. With this launch, we will be able to drive value-for-money for our customers and help them maximize their operational productivity.”
BKT’s information center will serve as tire clinic, where experts will understand and diagnose the specific needs of customers, before recommending the products best suited to their requirements. This information center will also provide farmers in-depth knowledge about its range of products and the suitability of different products for different use-cases.
This information center will help farmers get in-depth knowledge about newer product range, their suitability for various purposes, and enhanced agricultural techniques. Farmers can also gain knowledge about the brand’s manufacturing strengths and access other informative videos through the information center available inside the newly-launched showroom.
Having launched the first center in Karimnagar in Telangana, BKT with this second agritirecenter in Rajasthan is now looking to take this unique value proposition to more regions across India.
Currently, BKT has a market share of around 7 per cent in agritires in the domestic market, with Rajasthancontributing 10% of BKT’s total sales from the country. With plans to own a double-digit market share in India, the launch of the latest initiative will help the brand move towards further enhancing its market leadership.
