A Short Biography of PM Narendra Modi
Narendra Modi is the current Prime Minister of India and has been in power since 2014. He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Modi was born on September 17, 1950, in the Indian state of Gujarat. He grew up in a poor family and worked as a tea seller in his youth. Despite his humble beginnings, Modi was ambitious and determined to succeed. He became involved in the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and rose through the ranks to become a leader.
In 2001, Modi was elected Chief Minister of Gujarat and served in this role until 2014. During his tenure as Chief Minister, Modi implemented a number of economic and social reforms in the state, including the construction of a new airport in Ahmedabad and the promotion of industry and tourism.
In 2014, Modi was elected Prime Minister of India.
