
16th Divyang Talent & Fashion Show by Narayan Seva Sansthan

Motivated to bring in hope before the end of 2019, Narayan Seva Sansthan (NSS) organized its 16th Divyang Talent show on 28 December in Hyderabad. 40 phenomenal differently abled Divya Heroes showcased their talent at an enthralling event organized at the Ravi Narayan Reddy Stadium. The show won accolades and appreciation from the audience and witnessed the honorary presence of Mr. T.G Venkatesh, Rajya Sabha and Chief Guest at the event.
40 Divya Heroes added colour to an evening that was filled with music, dance numbers that were both solo and performed in groups to express their ideas and emotions about equality, accessibility and rights. The audience was amazed and entertained to see these heroes perform through ramp walk and impossible stunts like Mallkhamb performed.
Among 40 Divya Heroes were participants like Jagdish Patel, Yogesh Prajapati, Ahmed Raza, and Bajrang Nehra. Prashant Agarwal, President, Narayan Seva Sansthan has shown his gratitude towards Divya heroes who are bringing change in the society through divyang talent show platform.
Chief Guest, Rajya Sabha member T.G. Venkatesh also applauded the Divya heroes talent show. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, T.G. Venkatesh said, “This platform is addressing physical stereotype by changing perspectives for talent that is different and able to do much more than their potential; and offers more hope to people who have given up in their own journey of being differently abled. These Divya Heroes are truly an inspiration for every community and have enhanced their chances of them being more acceptable in all walks of life. Narayan Seva Sansthan has changed the perception of the common man today and one must appreciate their efforts for offering a vibrant platform like this for such individuals.”

Divya Hero and talented performer, Bajrang Nehra said, “The journey so far has been great. Equality in all walks of life through an effort and a platform so large to showcase our talent not only allows us to be accepted in the society but has also offers us a way to change the social fabric through our potential. Narayan Seva Sansthan is definitely ray of hope for individuals like us who have now been truly accepted and treated equally like the rest.”
Mr. Devendra Chobisa, Trustee, Narayan Seva Sansthan said, “In spite of being differently abled, these Divya heros have shown their strength and power by presenting themselves on this platform. I would like to invite every marginalized differently-abled individual for participation in the free-of-cost skill training for Tailoring, Mobile Repairing, Computer and Hardware repairing skills.”

For these extraordinary participants journey from learning skills on the stitching machine to apparel designing and further showcasing their designs with full confidence on the ramp, has not been easy.
